Roadster skal nemlig klare 0-100 km/t på bare 1.9 sekunder.

Da Musk fortalte om bilen for første gang, sa han at planen var å begynne produksjonen av Roadster i 2020, men så ble produksjonen utsatt til 2022.
Nå sier Musk at Tesla skal begynne leveransene av den lynraske elbilen i 2023.

Musk tar imidlertid forbehold om at 2022 ikke blir et «megadrama». Nøyaktig hva han mener med det vet vi ikke, men han sikter nok trolig til covid-situasjonen og mangelen på deler som følge av pandemien.
