Elvia øker nettleien fra 1. mai

Elvia øker nettleien med om lag 5 øre (inkl avgifter) per kWh gjeldende fra 1. mai. Bakgrunnen er at vi må kjøpe inn kraft i spotmarkedet til en høyere pris enn forventet for å dekke opp tap i nettet.

– Hovedårsaken til nettleie-økningen er at kraftprisen har blitt veldig mye høyere enn prognosene tilsa for bare kort tid siden. Uroen i Europa har bidratt til forsterket usikkerhet rundt energisituasjonen og har drevet kraftpriser og inflasjon opp. Økte kraftpriser gir Elvia økte kostnader til nettap og økte kostnader til transmisjonsnettet, sier Elvias administrerende direktør Trond Skjellerud.

For en kunde med et forbruk på 20 000 kWh per år vil økningen i snitt utgjøre om lag 83 kroner per måned inklusive merverdiavgift, dersom det ikke tas hensyn til at forbruket varierer gjennom året.

Kraftprisprognosene har økt fra et nivå på om lag 42 øre/kWh da Reguleringsmyndigheten for energi (RME) kom med varsel om inntektsrammer tidlig i desember, til om lag 80 øre litt utpå nyåret og til nå å være på hele 130 øre/kWh. Til eksempel betalte Elvia 159 millioner kroner for nettapet i 2020, 1 165 millioner kroner i 2021 og har nå en prognose på 1 746 millioner kroner for 2022.

Nettap er elektriske tap i strømnettet. På grunn av motstand i strømledningene vil noe strøm gå tapt i form av varme mellom der strømmen blir produsert og der kunden forbruker den. Differansen mellom hvor mye energi som mates inn i nettet og hvor mye kundene tar ut av nettet utgjør nettapet. Dette må nettselskapet dekke ved å kjøpe tilsvarende energimengde i kraftmarkedet.

Tapet i det norske strømnettet, fra kraftstasjon til forbruker, utgjør opp mot 10 prosent av produsert energimengde.

Elvia er Norges største nettselskap, som betjener nær 2 millioner innbyggere på Østlandet. Selskapet bygger, drifter, vedlikeholder og rehabiliterer et strømnett på 66 000 kilometer i utstrekning.
